Grand Yachts Inc is proud to offer such a gorgeous example of this fine marque. Safe Haven is a superb Tiara 3800 Open, excellent condition inside and out, with shiny gelcoat, a pristine interior, and a spotless engine room.
The Tiara 3800 Open is equally comfortable and capable as a luxury sport cruiser, and / or a tournament-class fishing machine. She is of renown strong construction, accomplished design, with thoughtfully proportioned spaces, and elegantly finished.
Always a local yacht, the original owners spec’d Safe Haven with a long list of options. She is nicely equipped, and has been the beneficiary of deeply caring and involved owners, who have each been meticulous stewards. And she is now ready for her next chapter with new owners.
Board from a dock or tender to the swim platform, then through the transom door to the huge cockpit, forward through the covered seating area and helm, then down through the companionway door to the sumptuous interior.
Safe Haven has the more popular Plan A layout. Below is finished throughout in teak. The well-appointed galley is to port, with the dining settee lounge, and entertainment to starboard. Private head with shower stall is forward of the galley, and the large private cabin is forward.
From the upper cockpit and helm area, enter below decks to the salon, down three gently sloped stairs. The dining / lounging settee is to starboard with a large table, surrounded by plush seating. Storage under the settee.
The table has double fold out leaves, and sits on a hi-low pedestal. It drops to make a very comfortable berth - almost queen size. And the outboard backrest of the settee flips up to make another single berth, with an insert to make it wider when set up.
The galley is to port, opposite the lounge area. It is well appointed, also finished in teak, with off white counters, and has quite a surprising amount of storage in numerous deep lockers, including a handy lazy susan in the lower corner.
The stateroom is forward with an island walk-around queen berth. Fresh air and natural light through two opening portlights, and an overhead opening hatch. Ample storage in numerous lockers, drawers, shelves, and a hanging locker.
The private head and shower are both generous and the shower being a separate stall is a wonderful luxury.
The helm is forward and to starboard with electric adjustable seat, stainless steering wheel, and all controls and switches close at hand. The dashboard is hinged for easy access to these systems.
The cockpit is incredibly spacious, with plenty of built in seating and storage. Forward up two steps is the upper cockpit with L-settee and table to port, and the helm chair and controls to starboard.
110VAC, and 12VDC systems service the yacht with circuit protection. Breakers are located under the companionway steps. AC power is provided by shore connection, by the generator, or by battery through the inverter. DC power is provided by banks of batteries.
The engine room is under the cockpit floor, and is quickly accessed via a hatch in the floor. For more comprehensive access when needed, the entire floor is hinged and lifts up on electric rams.
Safe Haven is powered by twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3 inline 6 cylinder diesel engines at 450 hp each, with approx 840 hours.
The tender sits on a Freedom Lift, aft of the swim platform
