Engines and Mechanical

The Lehman 135 hp engine was completely rebuilt by Philbrooks Boatyard in late 2011 at 2450 hours following an engine overheating event.   While total hours are currently 2,908, the engine has only 460 hours since the rebuild.

Extensive work has been completed to make this the quietest Grand Banks 32 ever.   The engine mounts have been changed to "soft" mounts and the transmission is joined to the shaft using a "soft" coupler, virtually eliminating the typical engine vibrations in the boat.   The engine room has been treated to extra "Sound Down" insulation throughout.   The floor hatches have been treated with sound-proofing gaskets and even the water separator muffler has been treated with accoustic insulation.

Features include:

  • Ford Lehman (135 hp) engine (460 hours since rebuild)
